There are many ways to wish someone a happy New Year.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it seems the social distance moved each event associated with festive spirit online. Nonetheless, NewTec found a way to make it to the homes of our employees instead of organizing the annual party in the office, with Virtual New Year’s Eve Party!
Even though it is hard to imagine the end of the year without the usual celebration, the digital event can be just as inspiring. We did not get to dance but we still enjoyed a chat and laughed together.
On December 24th over 30 employees chimed in over their laptops. The festive spirit was visible in the fact that they switched the usual equipment for deer antlers and bows.
After some laughs, we used the spare time to revisit the good and bad in the passing year. We took the time to revisit the projects and discuss the ways we can improve.
So, while the mood lightened with each passing moment, the winners of our Christmas tree contest were announced. With COVID-19 a still-present threat, we had to host many events online. Just as well, we hope the next year we will be able to meet in person within the company offices as we used to.
